CELEBRATING 75 YEARS

The year was 1942. A man by the name of Leland James searched high and low but couldn’t find a truck that me this high efficiency standards. So he did what a true trucking visionary would do. Leland built his own. It was that bold endeavor that led to the birth of Freightliner Trucks. A company that has been fueled by innovation and driven by customer input for the past seven and a half decades. And we’ll continue to serve our customers by doing the hard work on job sites everywhere for many years to come.
